pub

"A memorable pub with rooms in a gorgeous, sleepy Somerset village. Come for the cosy, civilised and immensely characterful eating and drinking areas, the excellent food, the charming and stylish bedrooms and the lovely garden. It’s great value too…9/10"
Sunday Telegraph
"There’s a lavender-edged boule piste where a hammock sways and herbs are grown for the kitchen, while a wild-flower meadow with paths running through under a mistletoe-covered apple tree provide the perfect opportunity to while away the hours with a jug of fruit-filled Pimms"
The Guardian
"And now I am afraid that there is even more reason to clog up the A303 on that stretch: a fourth (or is it a fifth?) site from the boys, in the shape of the Lord Poulett Arms, about an hour and ten southwest of the henge, in lovely Hinton St George."
Giles Coren

Established in 1680, The Lord Poulett Arms is a traditional yet stylish thatched pub, located in the heart of the historic Somerset village of Hinton Saint George, two hours from London and thirty-five minutes from Lyme Regis. The pub has a main bar stocked with fine local ales, further dining rooms serve unpretentious food and beautiful gardens with seating and a petanque piste for the warmer months. Upstairs there are four bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, and two smaller bedrooms with bathrooms across the corridor as well a large loft room.
