Events
Depending on the season, you may see our friends at Burrow Hill Cider Farm harvesting, making cider, or distilling. Enjoy guided tours, tastings, or a stroll through the orchards, with plenty of tipples to sample among the 170-year-old vats in the cider house. Visit the farm daily from 9am–5pm to book a tour or tasting, or call 01460 240782.
Forde Abbey is a popular destination for families, garden lovers and historians alike. Set within thirty acres of award-winning gardens, you'll find something of interest all year round, but it is particularly magical in February when the grounds are full with snowdrops.
If you're visiting in autumn, Punkie night is a historic village tradition in Hinton St George, which is not to be missed. Children march around the village with a jack o'lantern singing spooky songs. Experience this wonderful Somerset tradition and warm up in the pub with a tipple or two afterwards.
Join us for Wassail in Jubilee Woods - an ancient pagan tradition of song and dance to awaken the apple trees and bless the coming harvest. Gather in the orchard and enjoy mulled cider & apple juice before the festivities begin.
